. Built in the 8th century BC, it was a place of worship for nearly 1000 years.

Sabaeans

Sabeans

Arabic

as-Saba’iyūn
) were an ancient people speaking an
Old South Arabian
language who lived in what is today
Yemen
, in the south west of the
Arabian Peninsula
. Some Sabaeans also lived in
D'mt
, located in northern
Ethiopia
and
Eritrea
, due to their hegemony over the
Red Sea
.
